Now I’m really going to try to refrain from using gifs on this page, it’s just too darn serious. Although to be honest, I’ve got a gif and exclamation mark fetish!!!!!! Which, no doubt, you’ve probably already noticed!!!!

Gifs are the little animated pictures you see on most of my pages, just incase you didn’t know what a gif was.

Onwards!

Now to say I was a little skeptical about it would be a gross understatement. But it was free, so I had nothing to loose by giving it the benefit of the doubt. And I’ve got to tell you that I’m glad I did, otherwise I wouldn’t be here talking with you now.

I’ve already mentioned several times, the amount of e-books I’d purchased regarding, how to start an internet business and the amount of times I’d been suckered in. So, I’m just sat there reading away, waiting for the punch line.

It never arrived.

I kept waiting for the hype. It didn’t arrive.

I kept waiting for the catch. That never arrived either.

Now keep bearing in mind that everything that I’d read up until this point was a sales pitch in one form or another.

You see, these marketing gurus are very clever, they sell you their e-books, but that’s never enough, they want every last $$$ they can squeeze out of you.

So, they also structure the books they sell in such a way as to promote their own products. Or even more cleverly, products they are affiliated with and receive very large commissions for. All done in the best possible taste, of course!

Nothing wrong with that I suppose, providing what they are selling is genuine and does work. But, 9 times out of 10 it isn’t, doesn’t, and quite frankly most of them don’t even know what they’re talking about and the books themselves contain very little practical info on how to start an internet business.

So, the more I read of Ken’s book, the more intrigued I became. It was excellently written, easy to follow, and it just made so much sense.

For me, it totally removed all the mystery enshrouding the Net.

Where am I going with all this, I hear you say?

Sorry! Couldn’t resist a quick gif. What can I say; I’m addicted!

You see. Most people looking for info on how to start an internet business haven’t got a clue where to start, what to do, whom to trust, or what to believe.

I was no different!

Now bearing in mind, all those gurus marketing their fabulous methods on how to start an internet business are only motivated to one end.

Separating YOU from your CASH!

They have little or no interest in your success, and make the whole process sound easy, straightforward and something easily achievable in no time at all.

Well take it from me it’s NOT!

It’s damned hard work, very time consuming, ‘initially’, and there’s also a helluva lot to learn.

Hope I haven’t rained on your parade!

What I learned from Ken’s Book

Not only did it supply incredible up to date info on how to start an internet business, it also directed me to 2 other free downloadable e-books he’d also written:

The Service Sellers Masters course

The Affiliates Master Course

I spent about a week reading all three books and making lots of notes, and by the end of the week I had a pretty good idea of how to start an internet business, how it all worked and what kind of site I wanted to create.

This one actually!

Now for me to sit and try to do justice to his books would be totally counter-productive, as I feel I am in no way qualified to do so. But, what I can tell you is that, by reading his books, I was drawn to look closely at his Web Hosting company. 'Site Build It'.

I was still very skeptical!

I mentioned earlier my desire to get online with my own site, and also my hesitance to do so because of the sheer magnitude of what was involved.

There was just no way, having no experience, that I felt confident enough to go it alone.

Sure, I understood the basics. Get a web site designer, a web host, spend thousands of $$$, etc, etc. But I also understood by doing that, I’d be placing my success, or failure, in the hands of others, others I knew nothing about. And that was a road I wasn’t prepared to travel.

Now let me tell you what changed my mind.

SBI - Site Build It

When in doubt, check it out!

I did a multitude of tests on SBI, looking for bad press or anything that would suggest the company wasn’t all it seemed to be. They all came back negative, and my skepticism began to fade.

The more I read about Ken Evoy, his views on how to start an internet business and SBI, the easier and more comfortable I felt about the whole thing.

Let Me Tell You Why

Before you even start with SBI, you’re given every opportunity to verify their claims. This involves too many things to mention, but the two most valuable from my point of view were:

A. Consulting as often as you like with a very experienced and successful multiple SBI site owner.

B. The ability to view numerous SBI sites, both new and established.

I actually dillied and dallied for around two months, making as many last minute checks as humanly possible, before finally taking the plunge.
