But one thing is for sure; I am ‘not’ going to try to sell you any get rich quick programs! All I hope to achieve by doing this, is to create my own legitimate home based internet business, and successfully market my kid’s books. I am not an internet marketing Guru in any way shape or form. I’m just a guy who’s been scammed many times myself, passing on what I know.
Part 1 These first pages contain my views on, what ‘not’ to do, and what to avoid. Okay, here we go.Every day, hundreds, if not thousands of us search the Net for some way to better our-selves. Whether in the form of a legitimate home based internet business or even just some way to earn a few extra $$$ to make ends meet. And, for each one of us searching, there are several some-ones out there just waiting for your click. Poised and ready with all the answers you’ll ever need. Yeah right! If you were to type the keywords, ‘Home Business’, into your Google browser, you would get around 4 billion responses, yes, I said BILLION. That’s, 4 billion pages containing information on how to make your legitimate home based internet business via the Net. How many of those 4 billion pages do you think are legit? Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying they’re all scams, I’m just trying to point out that out of 4 billion possibilities, what are your chances, statistically, of finding something realistic? How I got started.I had an accident a few years ago and was unable to continue my chosen profession, as it was very physically demanding.Why am I telling you this? Because. It left me in a very poor financial position with a family to support. Being in my 40’s, it wasn’t as though I could just pop out and get a degree or embark on yet another new career, and I didn’t much fancy taxi driving or doing security work for the minimum wage. I’d always been used to having cash in my pocket and a reasonably high standard of living. Months passed, funds were at an all time low and I found myself spending more and more time polishing the couch with the seat of my pants.  What was I going to do?I’d had a PC for some time, but it was purely decorational, it complimented the large screen TV very nicely! What can I say? I’m a material boy in a material world.I really had no idea about the Internet or running an online business. But, what I did have; was shed loads of free time and very little, constructively, to do with it.
It was around this time, bored beyond belief, dwelling on my ever-increasing financial problems that I found myself in the couch, yet again, staring at the above-mentioned PC.
No joy! Plan B. Look for the illusive manual. Now you probably think I’m joking, but I can assure you that I’m not. I’d bought the computer purely on a whim and there it had sat, looking really cool yet sadly neglected, for the previous twelve months.
And so, armed only with an instruction manual and very little enthusiasm, off I went in search of a legitimate home based internet business and began my very bumpy journey into cyberspace!  What I discovered!Well I just couldn’t believe my eyes!In only a few short weeks I was turning that machine on all by myself, had advanced to the level of two-finger typist, and had discovered all those wonderful websites, offering all that fabulous advice and information I so desperately sought to create my very own legitimate home based internet business! My problems were finally over! Now bearing in mind I was about as green as the Jolly Green Giant at this point. As far as the Net was concerned anyway, and I naturally assumed everything out there was legit! Yo Ho Ho!
So, I opted into every business E-zine, ‘Online Magazine’, I could find. Foolishly parted with my e-mail address to anyone that asked, and was now receiving enough Spam, daily, to feed a third world country.  This of course didn’t bother me one iota. I viewed each slice as the proverbial ‘Golden Egg’. And it wasn’t too long before I was parting with my credit card details almost as flippantly as my e-mail address.
I’d found myself, like so many others before me, desperate, vulnerable and at the mercy of every unscrupulous, unethical, so-called marketing Guru on the Net!
